About Jenny Stoffel

Jenny enjoyed developing her web design skills as a hobby for a decade before turning it into a full-time profession. She has worked as an IT systems administrator/helpdesk support as well as in a digital imaging laboratory, mastering both low and high-end hardware and software applications. She is skilled in HTML and Wordpress, also bringing experience with Java and JavaScript, Flash, and C++ applications to her work.

Originally from Colorado, Jenny earned her BA at Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, PA with a study abroad at King’s College London, and her MA at the University of Washington’s Department of Germanics in Seattle, which is ranked among the top 10 German programs in the U.S. She has lived in Germany for nearly 5 years (principally in Berlin and Münster) and has employed her German fluency to translate books, films, websites, and more. Her other language skills include Spanish and Czech. She has also worked at a wind energy company in Portland, OR for 2 years as a translator, IT administrator, PR, and Service Coordinator. She continues to be involved with various environmental endeavors here in Portland and seeks to ensure environmentally-conscious web design, hosting and business practices for her clients.

In her free time, Jenny enjoys hiking in Oregon’s beautiful natural areas and tango dancing.
